Safe, well-maintained ranges for every shooter.

Ranges Open Daily

Range Hours, Rules, and Safety

All ranges are open daily from 8 a.m. until dusk in accordance with the DNR hunting guide. Please note that events or maintenance may limit access, so check the club calendar for the latest updates.

Everyone using the ranges—including members, guests, and family—must follow all posted Range Rules. Safety is always our top priority. Events and leagues are open to members, with a small fee to cover the cost of targets.

Rifle Range

100yd

The Saginaw Field & Stream Club features a 12-lane rifle range with distances up to 100 yards, with target stands available at both 50 and 100 yards. Throughout the year, members can take part in events and leagues designed to build skills, enjoy the sport, and connect with fellow shooters. The range is reserved for paper targets only, ensuring a safe and consistent experience for everyone.

Adult .22 Leagues

The Adult .22 Leagues at Saginaw Field & Stream Club offer a fun, structured way to sharpen your shooting skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment. These leagues are ideal for both experienced shooters and those looking to build confidence with rimfire firearms. With an emphasis on safety, consistency, and friendly competition, our .22 leagues are a great way to stay active, meet fellow members, and enjoy regular time on the Saginaw gun range.

Bullseye Pistol Leagues

The Bullseye Pistol Leagues at Saginaw Field & Stream Club focus on precision, discipline, and controlled shooting techniques. Shooters of varying experience levels are welcome to participate while developing accuracy and proper form in a safe, supervised setting. This league is perfect for those who enjoy classic target shooting and want to be part of a supportive community that values firearm safety, skill development, and responsible marksmanship.

Youth Small Bore

Held Saturdays at 8 a.m. from April through May, this program teaches students the fundamentals of gun safety and proper shooting techniques. Participants should bring their own .22 caliber rifle, though a limited number are available for those without. Eye and ear protection are required, with gear provided at the club if needed.

There is no cost to participate, and targets and ammunition are included. Open to students ages 10 and up, the program is a great way to build safe handling skills, improve accuracy, and enjoy time with new friends.

PISTOL/RIFLE RANGE

100YD/50yd/10yd

The club offers a 50-yard range with fixed stands at 25 and 50 yards, along with a 10-yard range set just a short walk from the parking area. Both ranges feature covered pavilions, keeping shooters and gear dry in any weather. Target stands are available on each range, with adjustable placement at the 10-yard line. For safety and consistency, both ranges are limited to paper targets only.

Defensive Shooting

Runs Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., April through October. Practice defensive shooting with pistol, rifle, and occasional shotgun drills; instructors will announce equipment and ammo needs the week before each session. Expect scenario-based exercises and skill tests designed for CPL/CCW holders and anyone wanting to improve safe weapons handling and defensive readiness.

Cowboy Action Shooting

From April through October, join us on Wednesday evenings at 5 p.m. for cowboy action practice. The season kicks off on the third Wednesday in April, with weekly shoots running all summer long.

In addition to practice nights, the club also hosts competitive matches listed on the event calendar. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., followed by a mandatory safety meeting at 9:30 a.m., and shooting begins at 10 a.m.

Visitors are always welcome to watch at no cost—bring eye and ear protection. To learn more, visit our Facebook page or the Wolverine Rangers website.

The club also offers a hand-throwing field, located just to the right of the main gate, available during the shooting hours listed in the DNR hunting guide. Bring your own clay thrower and enjoy practice at your convenience.

For patterning, the board is limited to shot size 7½ or smaller. Turkey loads and buckshot may only be patterned on designated action bays during Thursday night IDPA/UML practice or by scheduling with an RSO—participants must provide their own targets and stands. Shotgun slugs may be patterned on the 100, 50, or 10-yard ranges only.
